Radioactive Bone Cement
Evaluated radiation dose to the spinal cord and bone through processed radiochromic film in MATLAB for radioactive bone cement.
Identified cropping parameters for experimental and calibration film through the use of Image Viewer Application for image processing.
Developed 3x3 mean and median pixel filters to reduce background noise caused by film scanner.
Initiated user to input file name and cropping parameters automatically for ease of use.
Analyzed optical density from pixel intensity of unknown dose of unfiltered and filtered radiated film to obtain average and maximum radiation dose for each color channel (RGB).
